I came to the US in 1991, right after the Communist party collapsed in the Soviet Union. And it was a little tough to fit in with the, you know, the American kids, given that I had an accent, I dressed funny, I looked funny.
You know, and that went on for a couple of years until I came to high school and I was introduced to drugs and alcohol. And all of a sudden I felt like I fit in.
And that progressed into harder and harder drugs and before I knew it I was drinking pretty much on a daily basis and then moved onto opiates and that basically consumed my life.
For me the Narconon programme was a way to look at life in a brand new perspective, a positive outlook on everything around me.
Also repairing relationships with my friends and my family. Most importantly my family because they were the ones who I hurt the most while I was using. They were amazed that I even called and asked them what was needed of me because I've never done that before.
It couldn't be better. I mean, we're closer now than we were before I even started using drugs.
The Narconon programme is the one programme that worked for me. It saved my life when I thought that everything was lost.
